I was born, grew up and went to school (Grundskolan, Blackebergs gymnasium, Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan) in Sweden. My favorite subjects in school were Swedish and History. When I was 17 I was an exchange student Upstate New York for a year. My first job out of college was with Ericsson. My husband and I lived for 3-4 years in McLean, VA in the nineties, then I obtained my MBA at George Mason University.
We moved to Sammamish, WA 20 some years ago. Almost immediately I started volunteering and then working at Svenska Skolföreningen i Seattle (skolforeningen.org) eventually becoming the principal. I worked there for 17 years. Around 12 years ago I started working for Rosetta Stone as a Swedish tutor. Then in January 2016 I started working as a Swedish teacher at The Swedish Club NW and now I’m starting my own company https://swedishga.com/
I would very much like to mention the following:

Hanna Lundin, born in Sweden, moved to the US when she was 3.5 years old, my marketing manager.
Johanna Brekkan, born in Sweden, moved to the US when she was very young, my graphic designer.
Carina Boczar, born in Sweden, moved to the US as an adult, my go-to-substitute.
